Week 9 recap / Week 10 Schedule
So fall is finally here, it's almost like somebody flipped a switch and turned the heat off.
The team battled well in the muddy, cool, and windy conditions last Saturday at the GMC championships at Rotary Park.
The 14th-ranked varsity team placed 6th (122 pts) in the highly competitive field. Leading the way was sophomore Katie Rea who earned a spot on the All-Conference 2nd Team in 20:15 and 13th place. Fellow sophomore Elise Gardiner was close behind in 16th (20:21) and also earned a spot on the All-conference 2nd Team. Senior Abbigail Schell placed 23rd (20:54) and earned a spot on the All-Conference 3rd Team. Completing the scoring were Senior Lauren Dapelo (35th / 21:28), and Sophomore Ella Bartz (37th / 21:41). Seniors Stephanie Anderson (41st / 22:02), Amelia Beutler (44th / 22:13), and Sophomore Megan McCaffrey (45th / 22:14) also helped out on varsity.
The JV team placed 4th (97 pts) with 3 girls earning JV honors (top 20). Runners earning JV honors were Sophomore Hanane Pokradt placing 9th (22:30), sophomore Fallyn Moye (10th / 22:30), and junior Angel Vertuaux (19th / 23:08). Senior Nina Bowser (28th / 23:40), and junior Kat Safarik (35th / 23:54) finished up the scoring.
There were some impressive PR's at the meet considering the conditions!

Please consider joining the Tosa East Athletic Booster Club and help support all 22 athletic programs. The Booster Club awards at least two education scholarships for athletes every year, provides extra funding for facility improvements like team chairs and provides funding for extra training equipment like instructional videos and batting cages.
All members receive free passes to 2 home events (more passes with higher level membership) and are invited to attend all Booster Club sponsored social events. There are lots of opportunities to get involved. The Booster Club is a great way for parents, families and the community to support Tosa East Athletics.
